Energy drink puts Chatsworth resident behind the wheel of a ‘Monster’ car

Twenty-four-year-old Chatsworth resident Trevern Pown Kumar, received an early festive present when Monster Energy and Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) handed him the keys to a brand-new Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Fastback RTR automatic valued at R750 000,00. He was one of ## hopeful customers who entered the promotion which ran from 01 August to 30 November this year.

 

In its second year running, the competition, was an on-pack promotion aimed at buyers of the Monster Energy drink can. Consumers nationwide, including grocery stores, filling stations, as well as local and traditional shops (spaza shops and cafés), were instructed to SMS the unique code under the ring pull on any 500ml or 300ml participating product to 45075.

“I have only ever dreamed of getting behind the wheel of a muscle car like this and to actually win one for myself is an unbelievable dream come true,” says Kumar.   “I can’t wait to take the car out for a spin, but I know I need to be as responsible as possible with so much horsepower, especially now during the festive season. This is truly a Monster of a vehicle.”

 

Since 2015, The Coca-Cola Company has held a 16.7% stake in the Monster Beverage Company globally. In South Africa, the two brands continue to expand their unique range of popular products, flavours and variants.
