30 November 2022 - Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) won four awards at the FoodBev SETA Gala Awards Evening held on 23 November 2022.
“What a resounding success for CCBSA as we received four awards, the most awards by a single entity for the evening. It speaks volumes about CCBSA’s commitment to skills development and building capability in our people and unemployed youth in the societies in which we work,” says Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) managing director Velaphi Ratshefola.

CCBSA 2023 Study Buddy Fund bursary programme application re-opens
JOHANNESBURG, November - Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has opened the application process for its Study Buddy Fund bursary programme.
The Study Buddy Fund was launched in 2021 and assisted 55 deserving young people across communities in which CCBSA has operations, to access tertiary education. The Fund pays for full tuition, accommodation fees, as well as textbooks. -
CCBSA supports 44 entrepreneurs to grow local economy in Limpopo
MOKOPANE, 16 November 2022 – The small business sector in Limpopo received a massive boost this week when 44 young entrepreneurs were the recipients of customised Bizniz in a Box (BIB) solutions from which to run their enterprises from.
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA), which runs the BiB entrepreneurship programme, had selected the young business owners from the communities of Lebowakgomo, Mookgopong, Mokopane, Thohoyandou and Modimolle to receive the business solution. -

10 November 2022 - The COVID-19 pandemic lockdown caused massive restrictions in the trading environment, creating an unfavourable impact on many households, and also affecting shoppers and traders. The Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan in South Africa presented in 2020 forms part of the government's agenda to restore the economy to inclusive growth through job creation; reindustrialise the economy, focusing on growing small businesses; accelerate economic reforms to unlock investment and growth; fight crime and corruption, and improve the capability of the State. Public and private sectors have had to adjust their business-as-usual practices to help rebuild the country's economy. -

Local communities play their part to achieve a world without waste
South Africa has a huge waste problem. According to the Department of Environmental Affairs’ State of Waste Report (SoWR), South Africa produced in excess of 54 million tonnes of waste in 2017. Of this total, the report estimated that a maximum of only 10% is recycled or recovered for other uses, whilst the remainder ends up in landfills or is illegally dumped elsewhere.

This Women’s Month in South Africa, Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has announced that it has increased black female representation in leadership roles and senior management, from 89% representation in 2020 to 94% representation in 2021. -

DURBAN, 2 August 2022 – Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has provided support totalling almost R700,000 to assist five small business owners to help them get back on their feet following the impact of the 2021 civil unrest and the floods which devastated KwaZulu-Natal earlier this year. -
CCBSA accelerates transformation and retains level 1 BBBEE status
28 July 2022 - Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has retained its level 1 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) status for following a rigorous verification process. The company attributes this achievement to strategic investments in amongst others, procurement which saw an increased spend with black-owned suppliers from 50% to just over 61% of its total adjusted procurement spend, of which 34% is with black females.
